I’ve seen a lot of glee hunger games videos going around, but I rarely see any that didn’t just use Katniss, Peeta and Gale’s names, so I thought I’d see if I could do it. Some parts still have to use Katniss/Gale/Peeta/etc’s voices, but this has more of the glee cast’s lines and voices than most of the videos I’ve come across.

I also messed around with the colors of the glee clips, tried to get that blue-ish, dark tone that’s in the hunger games videos.

I’m currently having a hard time feeling happy whenever I see happy!Brittana gifs and pictures.

Because right now, all I can think about is how Santana will probably lose it because QUINN FABRAY IS BADLY HURT AND MIGHT JUST DIE AND THE UNHOLY TRINITY LOVE EACH OTHER THEIR FRIENDSHIP IS AMAZING AND THIS JUST CANNOT BE HAPPENING.

And Santana might go ALL Lima Heights on Finn or maybe even Rachel because she’s just so blinded by the grief, by the anguish, by all these emotions running through her veins because even if Quinn can annoy the hell out of her sometimes, it’s because they call each other out on each others’ bullshit, it’s because they look out for each other in their own way, not in the sappy way that most friendships work. It’s because QUINN DOES NOT DESERVE TO HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN TO HER.

And Brittany’s racked with pain, it’s pure agony to hear about what happened to Quinn, to see Quinn’s body there… so still and lifeless, barely still in this world only because a bunch of machines are keeping her alive. And it’s heartbreaking to see Santana shattering but no one can see because all they see right now is a badly injured Quinn and Santana beating the crap out of the Finn Hudson everyone loves (for some reason). No one will be able to really see that Santana is just as hurt as everyone else, it’s just that she deals with things differently.

And oh god I also manage to think about how Rachel will just die inside when she finds out. If she doesn’t at least MENTION feeling like it’s her fault at least once in the next episode, then RIB would be doing something very wrong.

(because the thought of Brittana going to the Valentine’s Day dance gives me many feelings)
“You’re not looking left and right.”
Santana stayed focused on Brittany, on those brilliantly blue eyes that never failed to lift her spirits whenever she felt lost and battered. “You noticed?”
“Yeah.” Guiding Santana with a hand against her back, Brittany gently pulled her closer, “Nervous?”
The urge to look away from Brittany and survey her surroundings to see if people were watching, to find out if people were making judgements, to look out for the reactions- it tempted Santana. Swallowing it down, Santana concentrated on those eyes and answered honestly, “Yeah…”
“Me too.”
Finding it odd to hear this from Brittany, Santana raised an eyebrow. Brittany was nervous? Brittany, who was probably one of the most confident people Santana knew when it came to sexuality, was nervous? Brittany, who had been so excited about this dance, who was the most amazing dancer Santana had ever seen, was nervous? “Why would you be nervous?”
Smiling slightly, Brittany briefly looked down at their feet. “I’m just…” Santana watched Brittany’s bare shoulders rise and fall with the breath she took.
“Just…?” Santana prompted her to continue.
Brittany lifted her eyes back up to meet Santana’s. “I’m just worried that I’ll do something to scare you.”
“Scare me?”
“Yeah… like what happened at last year’s Prom. When I pushed you too hard when I asked if you could be my date.” There was sincere regret in Brittany’s voice as she took them back to that time, nearly a year ago, when pure fear ruled Santana’s world. Now, it was Santana’s turn to break eye contact and stare at the ground. Guilt and disappointment in herself ran through her mind. What could have been a glorious evening in Brittany’s arms turned into a night of awkwardness against Karofsky’s chunky body.
“Santana…”
“Yeah?” Santana still couldn’t bring herself to face Brittany, now that memories of that disastrous night enveloped her. She remembered the agony and terror and disappointment of losing, of feeling like they didn’t vote for her because they knew.
“Right now… this is magical.” Brittany continued, “Being with you… being here… being in this now. I feel like the magic is like this little, shiny gold baby butterfly that’ll just shatter into tiny little pieces if I don’t hold it just right.”
Santana didn’t want to point out that baby butterflies were caterpillars, but she did want to point out that Brittany was handling her baby butterfly just right.
This wasn’t Prom of last year. This wasn’t the period when Santana lived in constant fear of being spotted sneaking into the closet after fake dates with Karofsky. This wasn’t hiding behind a lie while watching the girl she loved dance with someone else.
This wasn’t the past.
This was the present.
Now was being with Brittany, seeing that goofy smile every time Santana does something ridiculously cheesy and sappy, seeing those eyes light up with unmasked joy and disbelief every time Santana has the courage to hold hands over the napkin. Now was being Santana Lopez, out of the closet, still afraid but finally brave enough to face her fears, the proud girlfriend of Brittany Pierce.
Taking a deep breath, Santana exhaled slowly before looking up at Brittany. “Britt, it /is/ magical. And… and you’re doing more than just fine.” She found herself smiling the same time Brittany did, “You’re doing great. And you know what?”
“That the body temperature of a cat is between thirty-eight degrees celsius and thirty-nine degrees celsius?”
Santana let out a soft, light laugh. Sometimes, Brittany just couldn’t resist messing around. And that wasn’t really a bad thing. “You killed it, Britt. I was gonna say something stupidly cheesy.”
“Aww.” Brittany pouted, “Say it anyway. Pleeeaaase?”
That pout, with the lower lip sticking out, the blue eyes shining… Santana was a sucker for it and Brittany knew it.
“Fine, fine.”
Brittany leaned in closer, their foreheads practically touching. “Uhhuh?”
Santana felt her cheeks growing hot, while her hands suddenly turned icy cold. This was the effect Brittany had on her. It was like nothing Santana had ever felt before. “I was gonna say…”
“That?”
“That there’s no other place or time I’d rather be than right here and right now.”

(and this is how I want the Brittana kiss to happen)
After being forced to witness another excessively long tongue-sucking demonstration of awkwardness and repulsiveness from Finn and Rachel, Santana was in a crabby mood. As usual, Rachel and Finn managed to turn a weekly assignment into a Finchel presentation.
Rolling her eyes at the memory, Santana opened her locker to pick up a notebook before heading home.
A small sheet of paper came fluttering out, slowly gliding downwards before finally landing on the floor.
Intrigued, Santana picked it up, and when she turned the paper over, she immediately recognized Brittany’s handwriting.
I love you, Santana. I love you more than I’ve ever loved anyone else in this world. I love the way you remind me that I’m a unicorn whenever I’m about to lose my horn. I love the way you look at me like I’m the smartest person in the world. I love how you smile when you say my name, and the way your face just lights up so brightly when I say yours. I love how you look at me when you think no one’s looking at you. I love the sound of your laugh, when you just let go of all the negative stuff and laugh with rainbows and sunshine. I love how magical you are when you sing. I love you for being brave and tough and strong and so protective. I love you for being so sweet and caring on the inside. I love you for being you.
Will you be my Valentine?
Santana tightened her grip on the paper and frantically scanned the hallway, eager to give her answer as soon as possible. The words on it sent her heart racing faster than ever before, while fire rushed through her veins and heated her skin.
There! Britt was down at the end of the corridor, talking to Mike and Tina. She was making large gestures with her arms to demonstrate or emphasize what she was talking about in that adorably dorky way that was just so Brittany.
The students in the crowd that didn’t make way for the top cheerleader were shoved aside without a second thought. Before she knew it, Santana was throwing herself into Brittany’s arms like a six-year-old child.
Brittany just barely let out a surprised “Hi, Sant-” before reflexively catching Santana and tensing to maintain balance. “-tana.”
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” Santana exclaimed, for once not caring that they were in the middle of a crowded area, in a judgmental high school. For once not seeing the looks and not hearing the whispers. For once not worrying about what anyone else might be thinking of her because right now, none of that mattered. It was just Brittany.
Taking advantage of the surge of shameless courage blazing through her, Santana pressed her lips against Brittany’s in a kiss that made everything and everyone else disappear in a haze that was almost like being drunk.
When their lips parted, Santana was breathless, but still managed to say, “Brittany S. Pierce, I love you too, and if you asked anyone else to be your Valentine, I will stab them with the razor blades in my hair.”
