i’m not familiar with the game but i googled it and the burton-y style just got me and i had to draw it

i’m teaming up with kim to make a sleeping warrior version of the ouat-art seasons challenge and here’s the first one for spring and then i’ll also be doing fall eventually while she’ll be working on summer and winter
and i’mma take a short moment to ramble about how i tried to draw mulan in a red version of what her disney counterpart wore during training time in the first movie coz her armor on ouat is red and black idk it made sense in my head okay and it’s adorable how she’s so tense and agitated when it comes to protecting aurora and btw i used a senshi-stock pic as a reference for the pose its over here okay i’m done rambling now i think

lol kim said i’d probably get While rewatching Vampire Diaries’ Tyler Lockwood werewolf transformation scenes, I was thinking about Child of the Moon again and got to thinking about how it was Ruby’s first time to shift in Storybrooke.
If the whole concept of putting magic into a world that doesn’t run on it has all these unpredictable effects, I figured that her transformation in Storybrooke could have had a more ‘realistic’ touch to it, something intense and painful with the resetting of bones and organs and no magic disappearing and reappearing clothes and imagine the possibilities… like it would put more weight on how big of a deal it is for Ruby to gain control over her wolf, and I would have loved to see a Forwood-esque scene with Belle staying at Ruby’s side throughout the ordeal and omg the ‘will the chains hold?’ line like just leave me to drown in feels now okay
