squeeee finally a background design bahahah
so here’s the desk of a teenage daughter-of-sheriff-and-schoolteacher Emma Swan and she has a thing for post-it notes coz she feels cool and detective-y
I’m not quite sure yet if I’m going to make this shot take place in the day or in the evening, so the colors might still be adjusted, but I think I’ll probably tweak that when i’m editing the video already and keep this image file as it is. Lighting effects from the window and maybe the laptop screen will also be added in with AE instead of here.
Chair/jacket are separate because I might have to animate it if she moves too much as she delivers her line so those might be redrawn in flash when i get into the production stage.
(i spent way too much time detailing the pictures on her cork board when i’m probably going to end up having to put an overlay on them to make them less eyecatching so the focus can stay on emma lolol oops)
Once Upon Avengers
In which the Trifecta dress up as the Avengers for Halloween at the diner and Henry convinces them to pose and replicate the poster
and Granny’s somewhere offscreen, operating a gigantic fan to produce that wind effect.
(also Red Beauty and Swan Queen are so into it like omg while Mulan and Aurora still don’t understand this world’s strange customs and Mulan’s not sure if she’s doing it right and Aurora’s just having fun)
I tried \:D/ (also there were supposed to be impressions of bookshelves behind them but the scanner killed it)
(HAPPY RED BEAUTY WEEK Y’ALL)
"I just wanted to give you the perfect anniversary."
"It’s perfect as it is."
(resized version sucks, view the full images to better see the details pls)
And here’re the turnarounds for the pack. (or at least those of the pack who’ll be appearing in my project). I probably put a little too much detail into the wolves that they’re a touch more realistic than the human designs, but lol oh well.
With Ruby, I wanted to still use the OUAT wolf design as a base, and then just add bits and pieces to it for more personality. I gave her lighter colored toes to resemble those gloves she’s so fond of, and then I colored the rims of her ears red to match the streaks of her hair. I also maintained that lankiness where she’s just all limbs and paws all over the place.
Regina’s wolf design is supposed to be more compact than Ruby’s, with smaller paws, a slightly shorter snout, smaller ears, stockier legs. Her eyes also are smaller than Ruby’s. And I did that pointy upwards cheek fur thing to match the style of her human hair.
Another thing I tried to do was play with their colors. Like even if they’re both technically “black” wolves (or dark at least), I put Regina along the blueish spectrum while Ruby’s more brown. Kinda to reflect their personalities, y’know? Like Regina’s cold and reserved and distrustful while Ruby’s warm and bursting with energy.
As for their eyes, this is where I took some of the Teen Wolf mythology where the eye colors mean something and I gave Ruby the average wolf eyes while Regina gets the blue i-killed-someone eyes.
And lastly, there’s the huge as hell alpha wolf that bit Ruby and started the whole mess. I’m kinda thinking Cora Mills as the Peter Hale of this story, but I’m not bothering with a human Cora design because she won’t be appearing in the project as anything other than the wolf that bites Ruby anyway.
For the alpha wolf design, I purposely gave it a base that was the same as Regina’s, to kinda add to the misleading resemblance between them that might cause Ruby to initially assume that it was Regina that she was bitten by.
