“But inside that hard, Lima Heights adjacent exterior is just a girl, standing in front of another girl, asking her to love her. Glee may be one of the most ridiculous shows on TV at times, but sometimes it’s also the most poignant. And for the last season and a half, Santana is the one who has kept the entire production emotionally grounded. She sings, she dances, she zings. But mostly she loves. And we can’t help but love her back.”—Santana Lopez as the No.1 Favorite Female TV Character on AfterEllen (via iheartbrittana)
“You have to want to listen to [silence], and then you can hear it. It has a strange, beautiful texture. It doesn’t always talk. Sometimes—sometimes it cries, and you can hear the pain of the world in it. It hurts to listen to it then. But you have to.”
Is that the reason why Blaine’s brother is such a big deal is because he was driving that truck that hit Quinn. And then everyone will hate him. But because it’s glee, he’ll sing them a song and then they’re like lol okay. And then he sings another to Quinn. (and those’re his two duets)
And the flashback is when Cooper and Blaine were kids and they were playing with toy trucks. And I dunno, then accidentally hit the hamster or something.
(yes, I’m trying really hard to rationalize the significance of Blaine’s brother after a cliffhanger like On My Way’s. like seriously)
I was lurking around the Finchel tag (I dunno, I just like going through that dark place and patting myself on the back after. I like seeing what kind of… people those shippers are and if there are still a lot of them and stuff like that)
And I saw this long post defending Finn’s character.
AND ARGH IT PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH.
Basically, this person kept going on about how Finn has his pride, and he makes mistakes. He’s a teenage boy. And men make mistakes. People should stop making a big deal about the feeding Rachel meat thing because men do that when they’re nervous.
LIKE OH MY FRIGGIN’ GOD STFU. A PERSON MAKING MISTAKES SHOULD NOT BE BRUSHED UNDER THE RUG AS “OH IT’S JUST A MAN MAKING MISTAKES.” OR “MEN HAVE THIS PRIDE AND WHEN YOU INJURE THEIR PRIDE BLAH BLAH THEY SOMETIMES ACT IRRATIONALLY BLAH BLAH”
It’s just such a sexist excuse it sickens me. It reminds me about all the things I detest about the “traditional” and “stereotypical” “male”. The macho pride and masculinity ideal.
This is just a rant. I needed to vent about how horrible the sexism of it was. I’m tempted to tag Finn, just to see what his worshippers say.
